We went to see The Getaway today.

I do not recommend it, it was terrible!! The only good part was that i was with my honey!!

Square In A Square Class

On Saturday, August 8th, Carolyn and I attended the Nite Owl Quilt Guild "in-house" workshop where Barbara Otzinger taught us the Square In A Square quilt pattern. Here are samples of our blocks. Carolyn's is the black, white, & red and mine are pastels (blue, green, & pink). This was a great class and a great new method for me to make many more quilts in the future!!!

The Girls in Big Bear

Eleana was kind enough to invite Carolyn and I to stay the weekend at her house in Big Bear. We had a great "girls sewing weekend" and we each were productive with our projects!!! And we sewed outside on the front deck ... it was awesome!!!

My Frist Tote

Here is a picture of my first tote. I made it while we (Eleana, Carolyn, and me) were in Big Bear last weekend. Eleana walked me through it step by step and I think it came out pretty darn good!!!

There Goes the Neighborhood

I was trying to post this picture last week and couldn't for some reason, yes i do realize it's the user!

This is suppose to be unveiled at Christmas time at the friendship group's potluck, but i couldn't wait to share it. I love it, it's hanging in my entry.. A lot of machine quilting in this hot weather. What was i thinking?
