Irish Chain Quilt

This quilt has been in the works for several years. I thought i had run out of a fabric and didn't have enough. Well, i didn't have enough for a queen but, had enough fabric to finish a row to then add a tiny border. Now, that i'm good at a pieced border... I'll throw a pieced border on with something that matches the fabrics already in the quilt. Of course i didn't want to go buy any more fabric, i'll dig through my many containers of fabric to find the one that matches best! Pictures to follow!

Counted Cross Stitch to Rose Quilt

On Saturday, March 27th, I learned to make the "Counted Cross Stitch to Rose Quilt" with instructor Janet Bottroff at the Nite Owl Quilt Guild Speaker Workshop. Since there were only four (4) students, we had lots of one-on-one with our teacher which was great! I absolutely love this technique!!! Here is a picture of the first 10 by 10 section made by each of the students (Sharon Chaffino, Melinda Jones, Sue ?, and me). Although I haven't added my borders yet, here is a picture of my project as it looks right now.
