Mary Engelbreit Quilt
Hello my friends.. I'm a very bad girl.. Yes, i know.. I was suppose to wait for my girlfriends to make this quilt together. Really, really it goes so fast. Once you start, you won't stop until you finish. I can help you i promise. Here is the finished product, complete!! It's a gift for Natalie, her 4th birthday. I won't be able to see her expression when she opens it, since I'll be at another engagement we committed to going on the same day as her birthday party! I hope you like it! Now, i'm on a roll and ready to finsih a top for Blake which i started before he was born. I guess his 1st birthday would be a good time to give it to him, once i finish it of course.

Clouds and Puppies
Here are our babies posing for me! We took a few hikes this weekend, here's a picture through my eyes.. Those clouds were white as snow, and the skies were an intense blue. And the wind was blowing ever so slightly, you could hear the leaves make a lovely sound. I want to move up there! For now, I'll take what i can get.. I steal weekends away from home!
Today's labor of love
I started working on this quilt today around 12:00, i have the end border to do. I will stipple, free motion all the way around. Looks better in person! I also worked on party invitations for Blake, he'll be #1, next month.. I can't believe it! I will post a picture of those invitations mid week, i made and mailed 20, didn't keep any. Have to make a few more.

Carousel Quilt for Regina's New Baby Boy
On Wednesday afternoon, Thada and I went fabric shopping at Upland Sew & Vac to try and match some fabrics to the cute border piece she let met have. The border has carousel animals and is really cute. Well ... we were successful and found 6 fabrics to use for the quilt. Here is a picture of part of one of the rows. I "fussy cut" the carousel animals and was able to get 12.

Square In A Square Class
On Saturday, August 8th, Carolyn and I attended the Nite Owl Quilt Guild "in-house" workshop where Barbara Otzinger taught us the Square In A Square quilt pattern. Here are samples of our blocks. Carolyn's is the black, white, & red and mine are pastels (blue, green, & pink). This was a great class and a great new method for me to make many more quilts in the future!!!

There Goes the Neighborhood
I was trying to post this picture last week and couldn't for some reason, yes i do realize it's the user!
This is suppose to be unveiled at Christmas time at the friendship group's potluck, but i couldn't wait to share it. I love it, it's hanging in my entry.. A lot of machine quilting in this hot weather. What was i thinking?
Where are the pictures?
Melissa post some pictures of our quilting retreat in Big Bear! I would love to see them. Pick the skinny ones of me! It was so much fun!
