Rag Quilt for new baby Jase

I haven't posted a picture in ages so I thought I'd better post something ... anything ... and I'm working on this rag quilt for Regina's new baby, Jase, so I thought I'd post a couple of pictures !!!

Quilt Labels

I have been trying to go back and create labels for all of my quilts ... here are 3 that I finished today ... next they'll need to be added to the quilts 2 of which are with the owners so I'll have to request them to give them back to me so I can sew the label to back of quilt ... making progress !!!

Block Exchange 2011 - California

So ... I have finally started my California Block and am not yet happy with my palm leaves ... but I am very happy with the background and the surfboards ... still a work in progress!!!!

Sunflower Wall Hanging

Here is my background for the Sunflower Wall Hanging ... I am so excited for our next class on 9/10/11 (although I'll only be there for 2 hours because I'll be attending Stacey and Joe's wedding!!!) ... all my flower petals and leaves are cut out and ready to go!!!

Art Class

So ... Eleana twisted my arm and got me to go to a watercolor class with her on Saturday and these are my two (2) "works of art" ... I actually had a good time ... enjoyed the ladies ... and enjoyed the art !!!

Bargello Background

So … last Saturday, 7/9/11, I took the NOQG In-House Workshop, Sunflowers Part #1, with Jan Huber and I LOVED IT!!!  Here is a picture of my “bargello background” … I am so looking forward to Part #2 in September!!!

T-Shirt Quilt for Adrienne

Melissa helped me make this quilt, it wasn't as fun as all my other projects. Still working on the binding, i've discovered not my favorite thing to do.

Grand Central

This quilt is made for one of the professors i work for, she's retiring and i want her to remember me forever! It took me less than a month to complete.. I knew i could do it.

My First Quilt Label !!!

So for the 5-6 quilts that I've made (not including rag quilts), I have NEVER made a label ... shame on me!!! So here is my first label for a t-shirt quilt I made back in 2009. Now that I know how and it's really so easy and they come out so cute, I will be sure to make a label for every quilt that I make. I also plan to go back and make a label for the quilts I have already completed.

Bear Wall Hanging - progress !!!

So I continue to work on the Bear Wall Hanging (really Eleana it will eventually be finished!!!) ... so here is the back where you can see that I have sewn around each of the nine (9) bears ... next I'll add the trees!!!

Surf Board Pillow

So ... I bought this pillow kit a few weeks back because it fit in with my "idea" for my California block ... anyway ... decided to make it and give it to my brother, Doug, and his wife, Sandy, because they have lots of pictures of surfboards on the beach at their house. I think it came out pretty nice and it was fairly easy !!!

Now for the WORK 11 more to go.. The letters are a lot of work to go around in the blanket stitch even though I'm doing it by machine. I will cut out each tree, bear and the letters little by little i can have this done by December..... I usually crank it out in the summer while i'm off. Go Ellie GO!!
